Future Initiative
Festival Eugénie
Biarritz, France
About this initiative
Festival Eugénie is envisioned as a future summer gathering in Biarritz, a city whose cultural identity was shaped in the 19th century by Empress Eugénie and her enduring relationship to the Atlantic coast.
The festival will extend the Foundation's mission into a destination format, bringing together dance, music, opera, and new creation in a setting defined by artistic encounter, elegance, and exchange.
Building on the Foundation's year-round work in Paris and across the Atlantic, Festival Eugénie is intended to serve as a platform for outstanding international artists, emerging voices, and new projects rooted in classical form while open to contemporary evolution.
As the Foundation grows its community of artists, patrons, and partners, the festival may become a natural summer expression of that network: intimate in spirit, international in scope, and rooted in the cultural landscape of Biarritz.
